I finished this lovely easy to make mini skirt a while back. Meanwhile I have worn it and washed it several times – it washes well!

It was my first go at using a twin needle. Love how much neater it looks.

The recommended size was too big for me so I had to take of more than an inch each side.

Love the contrast waistband.

There is a sew along here and I highly recommend it.

In time i will be making more of these definitely!

Wrist Warmers Nordic Knitting

So I made these for my sister in Australia. Twas great fun doing stranded knitting for the first time.

An easy to follow and make pattern.

I added in ribbing for hem and sleeve ends.

Also added some jersey binding on neckline for added comfort.

Verdict : Boy loves it and wheres it a LOT. 😉

My first Coco by Tilly and the Buttons

What can I say? I love this pattern plus it was my first overlocker project. Overlocker was scary at first but I quickly got the hang of it 😉

I cut a size 4 as per measurements and sewed it up. Twas too baggy for my liking so I took about an inch out on both side seams.

Turned out just right. ANd because I was too lazy to bring out my sewing machine and thread a twin needle to finish the hems and neckline I just overlocked them! et voila! A perfectly wearable dress in an hour and half of starting!

NB I really need to pay more attention when cutting out stripes because they aren’t straight on this dress but …eh.
