So there is this thing called the Top 5 of 2014 series by CraftingaRainbow called Top 5 Hits: What have you worn or loved the most?

Though I have only been sewing seriously since around April this year, my fledgling makes are very few, and yet I do feel like of the things I have made so far , here are my Top 5.

1. Moneta

My Moneta is the most worn of my makes. Making it was ok until I got to the clear elastic shirring! That put me off making it again (until I tried it again but using braided normal elastic and it was easy!) I need to lengthen the bodice by about an inch though. I love it and plan on making more. I have made a christmas Moneta in green velvet and its lush (will blog soon).

2. My winter Giselle. This was easy to make without any fastenings. The belts mean you can have a quick fitted look. Its very comfortable and goes well with boots!

3. My M6844 peplum cardigan. Stylish and swishy this gets worn a lot! With jeans, skirts, anything does really.

4. My Carme blouse. I love this so! Because I loved making it. Its a great pattern with an excellent video sew along.

Yeah!

Yeah!

5. My Marion Cardgan. Many mistakes and lessons learnt but this cardie has been worn on most days as the weather has gotten colder. It washes well and that’s fantastic for me!
