Podcast Page
I have created a page for the podcast home where you can find all the episodes.
If you like visuals then do check out the podcast on Youtube where I made a slide show presentation to go with the audio. I can’t tell how much fun I had making this.
What inspired me to start a podcast?
I met Lori Beckstead (frivolousatlast.com) who runs the Clothes Making Mavens Podcast with Helena Ashbridge (GrayAllDay.com) when she interviewed me about the #burdachallenge2018 last year. I had been a fan of Lori’s blog for a long time and her creations have added many projects to my sewing wish list! Talking to her for the podcast inspired me so much that I decided one day I’d try that. Lori did a guest post here which you will enjoy reading (I love her favourite sewing swear word when things go wrong in the sewing room) – Q&A with Lori Beckstead.
How to make a sewing podcast.
It was a lot easier than I thought and once I did it I was like “oh that’s not as time consuming as I thought“. I used my Blue Snowball Ice microphone to record on my PC reading off the script I had prepared. I designed my graphic in Canva and uploaded it and within 30 minutes I had a podcast.

The longest task was prepping the script because I kept doing it in bits and bobs. It took me months to put everything together and to be honest a fair bit of procrastinating but here I am with my very first podcast. The name of my podcast isn’t very imaginative – Saturday Night Stitch Show
I will talk about a broad range of subjects that relate to my sewing, self care and productivity theme of this blog. I am so excited about creating a new format and offering new content in this form.
Enjoy!
