Today’s post is a Burda 1/2019 #114 Pattern Review. The midi-length jersey dress caught my eye when I received my Burdastyle January 2019 issue. It took a while to get round to making it but when I did – I loved the simplicity of the lines. I included it in a ‘5 Burda Dresses‘ sewing projects video on my Youtube channel so you see it in action.

Were the instructions easy to follow? – Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? – I like the 70’s vibe I saw from the gathered bodice.
Fabric Used: Lady McElroy Viscose Jersey Knit Fabric Teal – this had been in my stash for nearly 4 years so I am happy to finally use it. It is viscose jersey which is very comfortable and very drapey.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: None
Would you sew it again? Yes
Would you recommend it to others? – Yes!
Conclusion – It is a simple and easy-to-wear dress that feels like secret pyjamas. I can’t help but feel that this style would look gorgeous in a solid.
