Updated 29/7/2021 To date I have sewn 2 items from this issue – Burda 1/2019 #111 and Burda 1/2019 #114 – both dresses. I like to post and record the sewing patterns I like from each Burda sewing magazine issue. So, here are the Burda 01/2019 line drawings. I will also share my thoughts on the issue through my Burda January browse through video.

What did I sew from Burda 01/2019?

I sewed the super stylish sweater dress Burda 01/2019 #111. I sewed it up in a textured mid-weight jersey weight fabric. Blog post coming soon. You can see it on my YouTube sewing channel below – its right at the beginning of the video. I actually sewed it in January which I was very pleased about from a planning perspective. The other is a midi dress #114 sewn in Lady McElroy viscose jersey.

What styles did I trace?

I traced a further pattern from the Jan issue – Burda 01/2019 #114 Jersey knit dress which I even cut out from a Lady McElroy viscose fabric. It made its way to UFO box and has yet to see the light of day! Must remedy that (it got finished and is in my ‘5 Burda Dresses’ video).
