Burda 03/2020 First Look

So far, I have loved the Burda 1/2020 issue – I thought it was a great start to the year. The February 2020 issue had some solid styles in it. I have managed to trace out 4 patterns from the 2020 issues so far and I am keen to keep up the momentum of sewing with my Burda sewing.

Here in the Burda 3/2020 First Look Preview. I love that Burda shows these in advance so you can order the issue if you like the designs. I also just get excited to see the coming designs and styles.

Statement buttons always get me. Especially paired with a linen look fabric in the cocoon style dress.

Fresh looking coral long coat withe minimalist finish is eye catching. Love the tailoring here.

I confess that I love anything that is indigo blue colour, so its hard for me to separate whether I like the design or the indigo look! I’d like to try sewing a polo top – I think fabric will be key to executing that top nicely.

Wedding season!

Someone on YouTube called this catalog-y. I can see why. It is a lovely fabric though.

I’ve always thought that Burda do bomber jackets really well. I like the ditsy floral print – very cheerful.

This is more wedding guest outfit. That back neckline is beautiful.

One thing I like Burda for is the inspiration I sometimes get from their offering. In this case, I am not necessarily interested in this pattern but I love the use of layered textures. Adding textural elements is something I want to explore in 2020.
