Here we are with Burda 6/2023 first-look preview. I have some sewing plans from this issue that I am pretty excited by. Burda have revamped their pattern ranges and are including more sizes so it’s quite interesting to see what direction they are taking now. The June issue is very dress centric so if you love dresses there is plenty to check out! Let’s take a look at what’s coming in June!
My sewing plans including sewing you the peasant style blouse #110 and using the top half of jumpsuit #126 to make a summer maxi dress. I am not a big fan of jumpsuits generally on account of how fussy to put on and take off they can be. June also happens to be the month of all the glorious roses here in the north of Leeds which I have shared at the beginning of the browsethrough video.
Quote of the month I’m pondering as I do my sewing – I’ve heard it said that the grass isn’t greener in your friend’s yard; it’s greener where you water it. The same is true for our creative lives. If we want to grow, we must water our creativity. That could be with pursuing mastery in a particular aspect or expanding our repertoire of skill before seeking the next ‘acquisition’.
