What can I say? I love sewing with indie sewing patterns and the Coco dress by Tilly & The Buttons is a favourite. It was my first overlocker project. Using the overlocker was scary at first but I quickly got the hang of it. In terms of sizing, I cut a size 4 as per measurements and sewed it up. It was too baggy for my liking so I took about an inch out on both side seams. For future makes I will cut one size down. With those alterations it turned out just right. And because I was too lazy to bring out my sewing machine and thread a twin needle to finish the hems and neckline I just overlocked them! et voila! A perfectly wearable dress in an hour and a half of starting!
I really need to pay more attention when cutting out stripes because they aren’t straight on this dress but …eh. I have made many more versions of this pattern which you can read here – more Coco Dress by Tilly and the Patterns.
