2017 hurtles to a close and I am not particularly sad to see this year go. In fact, I can’t wait to put this year behind me. It was more bitter than sweet and when I look back on this year I will focus on the sweet. And yet, I have made it through and that’s worth celebrating too.
I am so excited to begin 2018. There is so much I have to look forward to and so much to achieve. I will put on my dancing shoes and dance every day. Every. Single. Day.  Every day will be my own fashion catwalk. I will embrace my younger self. I will be fearless. To 2018, I say
On that note, here are 3 videos that I had recorded but hadn’t posted on my Youtube Channel including the garments I made. Enjoy!
For the new year, I wish you all the best and many happy moments with your loved ones.
See you next year

December 31, 2017 3:06 pmEducating you below! [rofl] Linen is your fibre, it can be made up in different ways, that’s your fabric. eg I have some crepe jersey in linen, and some plainweave linen, and some linen twill in stock. I also could get all of those fabrics made up in different weaves.
Not many sewers get this, and SELLERS definitely don’t. I had someone try to sell me some ‘pure georgette’ earlier today. Sigh.
SO glad to see you back from the dark days sweetie, stay with us xxx

January 1, 2018 7:46 pmYou had me at “crepe jersey in linen” I cant wrap my head around that. Seriously what does that even look like? Thanks for kind words Fairy – it is so damn good to be out of that. x

January 1, 2018 8:23 pmmwah x The fabric is totally delicious, like a sexy, luxurious crepe bandage. Amazing texture, lightweight, and a rich ivory colour. No idea what to make yet, it must wait til inspiration strikes! Depression [unfortunately] comes and goes, waxes and wanes. Think of it as a natural phenomenon, like tides and phases of the moon. If you are prepared, and can recognise and stave off the minor surges, those around you will see you through the occasional flood. Just survive, and be kind to yourself. Sewing is AMAZING therapy. [And buy some crepe linen!]

January 1, 2018 8:25 pmActually, I misremembered- it isn’t jersey but so what? Here it is http://www.fabricgodmother.co.uk/linen-crepe-ivory/

January 1, 2018 3:27 pmI LOVED you video on fit…particularly the part about celebrating our successes rather than focusing on our flaws! Such good advice to remember in life as well as sewing! Thanks for sharing! Wishing you and yours a productive and satisfying 2018 filled with love, hope, and adventures!!!

January 2, 2018 3:34 pmI enjoyed our little chat about fit – well, it felt like a chat even though I wasn’t saying anything such a friendly presence you exude on screen. Funnily enough, I went to Craftsy to investigate those pattern drafting classes you recommend and I already had the pants one in my basket. Should I start with the skirt though – even if I wear trousers more often than skirts – do they build on eachother?
Anyway, lovely to see you on here again (I know you’re on IG but I don’t go there often) and I wish you many more good bits in 2018 than you had in 2017 x
Hila
January 2, 2018 3:54 pmThank you! So glad you enjoyed it. If you wear trousers more then go for the pants one. It doesnt build from the skirt so you are good there. It is very intensive but well worth it. Wishing you a wonderful joy filled 2018!
