Going outside my comfort zone is something I try to do as much as is possible. This month MCBN project (which you can read on Minerva here) is no exception! I pushed myself to create a garment using colours that I normally steer away from. Colours that I believed to be completely unflattering on me. And yet I was pleasantly surprised to have a well-appointed garment that I have been wearing constantly since snipping the last thread!
The morale of the project? It’s good to step out of your comfort zone occasionally!

November 19, 2019 7:16 pmThis is really cool! I love the combination of fabrics – unusual, but it works so well. Interesting that you mention that you didn’t need a broad shoulder adjustment. This is something that I often end up needing. I have used Named before, but no shirts or blouses. I should bear this in mind.

November 27, 2019 8:58 pmThank you! I loved how the berry just popped when I placed it against the muted colours of the florals. The fit is quite relaxed on it and that probably why it was perfect for my broad shoulder. Glad you found it helpful.
