Today’s post is a Simple Sew Shannon Dress review. This is a dress that got so much wear once I sewed it up and it traveled with me (pre lockdown) as it is an easy-to-wear dress. What’s great about Simple Sew’s Shannon Collection is that it comes with 2 patterns. It includes your staple T-shirt dress and top pattern plus stylish sailor trousers and preppy nautical shorts. The pull-on jersey dress and top features grown-on sleeves with sleeve and neckline bindings, and a top-stitched hem. The wide-leg trousers have slash pockets, a side zipper, and sewn-on buttons, plus the shorts have rolled-up hems.

Pattern Description

This pattern pack includes your staple T-shirt dress and top pattern plus stylish sailor trousers and preppy nautical shorts. Pattern Sizing – UK Sizes 6-20. I sewed size 8.

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? – Yes

Were the instructions easy to follow? – Yes

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?

I really liked the simplicity of the style and I was in the mood for an instant gratification project.

Fabric Used

I used a zaney zebra print sweatshirt fabric panel print. The quality is top-notch as I have washed this so many times but it still looks good. Its composition is 95% Cotton and 5% elastane.

Pattern alterations or any design changes you made – None

Would you sew it again? – Yes!

Would you recommend it to others? – Yes!

Conclusion

If you are after an instant gratification sewing project then this will tick all the boxes. The quirky fabric means that I always get asked where I bought this dress when I wear it!
